If you plan to be camping in windy weather, and you’re worried about your campfire going out, build one using those trick birthday candles.

It’s offensive to ask a gay couple, “Who wears the pants in the relationship?” You are supposed to ask, “Who wears the condom?”

Cell phones get lost and broken all the time,
so be sure to always keep a written record
of the phone numbers for all of your drug dealers.

The world is not a happy place, despite the powers at our disposal. Humans have "thought," which can be applied to great questions. We have technology, which, in theory, can ease the burdens of the world. We have religion and politics and other beliefs that offer guidance and leadership. Why, then, do we humans suffer so? The idealist tries to figure out how to use our great powers to make the world better. Idealism is a good thing. Never discard it, especially if the world does not change in a day.
